GrowthCap’s 2020 Top 40 Under 40 Growth Investors Once Again Features Multiple JMI Equity Professionals
JMI Equity, a growth equity firm focused on investing in leading software companies, is pleased that multiple JMI investment professionals have been recognized by GrowthCap as among the 2020 GrowthCap Top 40 Under 40 Growth Investors List. GrowthCap, a leading growth capital research and advisory firm, compiles its annual list based on nominations from market participants and a methodical review of each nominated investor’s deal experience, background, and career trajectory, as well as the reputation and track record of the nominee’s firm. In addition to the formal nominations process, GrowthCap took into consideration third party feedback from CEOs and other executives. JMI General Partners Dave Greenberg, Suken Vakil, and Larry Contrella were name to the list for the fourth, third, and second consecutive year, respectively. Principal Sureel Sheth made his debut on this year’s edition.

Dave Greenberg, a General Partner in the Baltimore office, joined JMI in 2006 and has over a decade of experience partnering with growth software companies. He currently serves on the boards of Bloomerang, Businessolver, RainFocus, and Unanet.
Larry Contrella, a General Partner in the Baltimore office, joined JMI in 2010 and has a decade of experience partnering with growth software companies. He currently serves on the boards of Bloomerang, Higher Logic, RainFocus, and Raptor Technologies. He is also a board observer of Level Access and Benevity.
Suken Vakil, a General Partner in the San Diego office, joined JMI in 2012 and has over a decade of experience partnering with growth software companies. He currently serves on the boards of Applied Systems, Arena Solutions, HackerRank, and Lytics and is a board observer at Code42 and Seismic Software.
Sureel Sheth, a Principal in the San Diego office, has been part of the JMI team since 2010 and has a decade of experience partnering with growth software companies, particularly in the healthcare IT space. He currently works with JMI portfolio companies Clio, Jvion and PointClickCare, and played an active role with investments in CipherHealth and Yello.
