GrowthCap’s 2021 Top 40 Under 40 Growth Investors Once Again Features Multiple JMI Equity Professionals

JMI Equity, a growth equity firm focused on investing in leading software companies, is pleased that multiple JMI investment professionals have been recognized by GrowthCap as among the 2021 GrowthCap Top 40 Under 40 Growth Investors List. GrowthCap, a leading growth capital research and advisory firm, compiles its annual list based on nominations from market participants and a methodical review of each nominated investor’s deal experience, background, and career trajectory, as well as the reputation and track record of the nominee’s firm. In addition to the formal nominations process, GrowthCap took into consideration third party feedback from CEOs and other executives. JMI General Partner Larry Contrella and Principal Sureel Sheth were named to the list for the third, and second consecutive year, respectively.

Larry Contrella, a General Partner in the Baltimore office, joined JMI in 2010 and has a decade of experience partnering with growth software companies. He is currently a Board Director at Bloomerang, ChurnZero, Higher Logic, Incident IQ, RainFocus, and Raptor Technologies. He is also involved in the firm’s investments in Benevity and Level Access.

Sureel Sheth, a Principal in the San Diego office, has been part of the JMI team since 2010 and has a decade of experience partnering with growth software companies, particularly in digital health IT. He is currently a Board Director at Jvion and Practice Ignition and is actively involved with JMI’s investments in Clio, Jane Software, OpenSesame, PointClickCare, SafetyChain, and Yello.
