Highlights from JMI’s 2024 HR Roundtable
Our 2024 HR Roundtable brought together People Leaders from across the JMI portfolio to share insights and best practices on navigating the evolving landscape of work, driving employee performance, and challenging traditional HR approaches to improve employee engagement and business outcomes.
Steve Cadigan, LinkedIn’s first CHRO and author of “Workquake: Embracing the Aftershocks of COVID-19 to Create a Better Model of Working”, kicked off the event with a powerful keynote. He emphasized that the traditional architecture of work is no longer sufficient to manage the rapid changes facing HR and talent leaders today. Drawing from his experiences both at LinkedIn, where he scaled the company from 400 to 4,000 in 3.5 years, and as an advisor to many companies, Steve shared valuable guidance for companies with any level of resources on building a resilient organizational culture and attracting top talent. His emphasis on leveraging culture as a competitive advantage resonated strongly with attendees, who left with practical strategies for creating environments to attract top talent and where employees can thrive.
The rest of the day built on this message and focused on topics such as performance management, enabling leadership, and evolving the ways in which we work. The sessions were filled with dynamic group conversations where attendees spent time sharing best practices and reflecting on opportunities to challenge their own thinking.
Employee engagement and performance emerged as common themes, underscoring the undeniable link of culture to organizational performance. Participants explored methods for driving engagement in remote and hybrid work environments as well as enhanced accountability and performance through transparent communication and building strong alignment with company missions.
We thank our executives, speakers, and attendees for joining us, leading collaborative discussions, and providing actionable insights. We are excited to see how these innovative strategies will continue to shape the future of the JMI portfolio and look forward to 2025, when JMI will host six in-person functional and cross-events roundtables.
