Seismic Named a Global Leader in Cloud Computing in the 2016 Stratus Awards
San Diego, CA—July 20, 2016—The Business Intelligence Group today announced that it has awarded Seismic a 2016 Stratus Award. The organization sought to identify the companies, products and people that are offering unique solutions that take advantage of cloud technologies. Seismic, the leading end-to-end sales enablement solution, was awarded Best Software as a Service – Enterprise.
“We are honored to have been named best Enterprise Software as a Service in the Stratus Awards, particular in a year in which The Business Intelligence Group received a record number of nominations for the awards,” said Seismic’s CEO and co-founder Doug Winter. “The increased interest and competition in this space reflects the growing use and benefits of cloud technologies, and we’re proud to be recognized as one of the companies leading the way.”
“Congratulations to the entire Seismic team for helping accelerate adoption of the cloud and for working to make all of our lives a little richer,” said Russ Fordyce, Managing Director of the Business Intelligence Group. “The cloud is dominating the technology industry and we do not see any markers for that trend not continuing.”
The award follows on the heels of one of Seismic’s most successful quarters in company history, which saw 142 percent year-over-year growth in new revenue bookings. Seismic also closed a $40 million funding round led by General Atlantic in May and announced the launch of WorkSpace, a one-of-a-kind virtual forum where sales teams can collaborate in April.
“While Seismic is helping enterprise organizations close deals by equipping sales teams with the right content at the right time, the wide array of services offered by this year’s Stratus Awards winners show that this is just one of many cloud applications in today’s business environment,” said Winter. “We therefore congratulate all of this year’s winners for continuing to push the envelope in a diverse set of capabilities when it comes to cloud innovation.”
Seismic has been honored with numerous industry awards thus far in 2016, including being named a finalist in the SaaS Awards (winners will be announced in August) and a Best Document Management Technology finalist in WealthManagement.com’s 2016 Industry Awards (winners will be announced in September), as well as an IT Network Product Guide Award, American Business Award, Mobile Star Award, and Stevie’s Customer Sales and Service Award for their Microsoft Outlook Integration.
